Children’s Book Week 2025

Children’s Book Week is here!

This year marks the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s 80th year of Children’s Book Weeks. The week will run from Saturday 16 August to Saturday 23 August and the theme for 2025 is Book an Adventure. Come on an adventure with us in 2025 as we travel across lands, time, and memories.

Join Ballarat Libraries in celebrating by dressing up as your favourite storybook character at our Storytimes this week.

Join us for a Book Week themed Balance Play session! Come dressed as your favourite story character and enjoy activities by Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre.

Balance Play is tailored to suit 18 months to 5 years and is the first step in developing fundamental movement patterns along with gross and fine motor skills.

Parent Place will also be available to answer any questions on services and support for families with young children in Ballarat.
