Free Pads and Tampons at Ballarat and Sebastopol Libraries

Free pads and tampons are now available at Ballarat Library and Sebastopol Library.

Pads and tampons aren’t a luxury. They are essential to health and wellbeing. Victorians should be able to access them whenever and wherever they need to. That’s why the Victorian Government is making free pads and tampons available across the state.

Where can I find the free pads and tampons?

Ballarat Library – ground floor accessible public toilet

Sebastopol Library – female public toilets and the accessible public toilet

How do the free pads and tampons machines work?

The vending machines are discreetly located in safe public places and are simple to use.

  • Step 1: Touch the Start button.
  • Step 2: Touch the button for the product you want.
  • Step 3: Pick up your product from the dispensing slot below the screen.

Once the vending machine has dispensed a product, there is a delay until another one can be selected.

If a product is unavailable, it will show as being out of stock.

What is in the machines?

  • Pads (2 pack regular or 2 pack super)
  • Tampons (2 pack regular or 2 pack super; 6 pack regular or 6 pack super)
