Recent changes to the Digital Library include:
Magazines and Newspapers
BorrowBox – An expanded range of magazines and newspapers has been added to BorrowBox ePress, featuring hundreds of new titles.
Libby – Magazines are no longer available through Libby.
Pressreader – Pressreader features a large range of Australian and International magazines and newspapers.
Film streaming
Kanopy is now Kanopy PLUS, the best video streaming service for quality, thoughtful entertainment, available for free with your library membership. More movies, documentaries and TV shows than ever are available now, including unlimited viewing of the British Cinema and TV collection.

Fontella the Zine Machine, run by artists Siobhan Finn and Tegan Crosbie, has recently found a home at Ballarat Library.

Extended opening hours at Ballarat Libraries
The Ballarat, Wendouree and Sebastopol Libraries, which are operated by the City of Ballarat, will commence new opening hours from Monday 2 February 2026. Additional weekend and evening hours will provide greater flexibility and access for residents.
