What is 16 Days of Activism?

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign that encourages individual and community action to end gender-based violence.

Running from 25 November and 10 December, the campaign aims to raise awareness that gendered violence in all its forms is a fundamental violation of human rights.

Hope of Tomorrow – Stories of Resilience Art Exhibition

View the 16 Days Hope of Tomorrow – Stories of Resilience Art Exhibition at Ballarat Library and at Sebastopol Library from 25 November to 6 January.

This transformative community art exhibition, Hope of Tomorrow: Stories of Resilience, celebrates the strength and resilience of victim-survivors of family and sexual violence. The exhibition also showcases artists challenging gender stereotypes and gender inequality and portraying respect and equality.

This exhibition aims to foster respect, equality, and safety while challenging gender stereotypes and violence. Through compelling visual narratives, viewers encounter stories of courage, healing, and empowerment, reminding us all of the importance of community support and understanding.

This exhibition was produced in partnership with Ballarat Centre against Sexual Assault (CASA), WRISC Family Violence Support, LoudFence and TBH Studio.

There will be a launch event at Ballarat Library on Monday 25 November, commencing 4.30pm.
