Introducing the Library Kiosk at Lucas Community Hub

Library members in Lucas and Ballarat’s West now have vastly improved access to library services.

A new library kiosk has been installed at the Lucas Community Hub, the first of its kind in Ballarat.

The library kiosk is a self-service terminal that allows library patrons to browse collections, check out, return, and manage their library materials independently.

The kiosk includes a rotating collection of items that will be regularly refreshed, while library members are also able to request specific items from the Ballarat Libraries collection and use the kiosk to collect and return them. The new library kiosk brings library services directly to community, where they live and work. The kiosk can be accessed during Lucas Community Hub opening hours, 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and customer service staff are on hand to provide support.

It’s all free with your library membership.
