The City of Ballarat is in Caretaker Period from 12pm on Tuesday 17 September until 6pm on Saturday 26 October. To comply with our Election Period Policy and the Local Government Act 2020, social media, marketing and communications activity will be limited and community engagement, including comments, will be restricted.

Extended opening hours at Ballarat Libraries
The Ballarat, Wendouree and Sebastopol Libraries, which are operated by the City of Ballarat, will commence new opening hours from Monday 2 February 2026. Additional weekend and evening hours will provide greater flexibility and access for residents.
